Staying safe @ CHECC

We really want everyone to enjoy themseves, meet new people and learn somthing new at CHECC. However, this years venue is quite remote and close to several hazards such as a train track, lake and a quarry. Because of this and advice from the venue owners, we are introducing new safeguarding measures to help look after everyone.

Callouts

Please leave a call out with us before heading off, this year Little Si will be managing the call-outs but if you can’t find him on the day you can also leave a callout with a member of the committee and we’ll pass the details onto Si for you.

The Break Room

This year we’re having an ‘alcohol-free’ zone called: The Break Room (situated in the learning centre from 9 pm onwards, Friday/Saturday) if you a friend or someone you find in a bush is in need of somewhere safe/warm to recover please take them/yourself here.

The Break Room will be located in the Learning centre.

No Glass!

As part of our drive towards a greener CHECC we’re asking you not to bring glass bottles to CHECC 2019 in favour of cans, reusable bottles or CHECC’s reusable plastic cups available for £1 at the sign-in desk. Any cans left at the end of the event will be collected, crushed and recycled.

Can’s, plastic/metal bottles, or cups only.

CHECC Volunteers

Our volunteers will be out and about wearing X T-shirts or high vis, they’ll be about to help everything run smoothly. Remember CHECC is an event run completely voluntarily, so anything you can do to help us keep the venue in the sate we found it and yourselves safe.

First Aid

Please find a member of the committee or one of our volunteers if you, or another, are in need of first aid. Please inform us of any incidents that happen during the event as these will need to be recorded.
