CHECC Forum 2007 Review
Written by Administrator
Thursday, 13 December 2007

ImageThis years event was an outstanding success! Over 240 people attended for a weekend full of caving and partying. Two CIC's provided SRT training to anyone who wanted it, ranging from basic to advanced techniques. A large marquee in the car park provided cover for games, music and a large disco on saturday night (as well as a mud-wrestling arena later in the night..). The bar was expanded this year to sell Vodka, wine and cider in addition to the staple supply of beer and the vodka in particular went down very well indeed and everyone was well fed for breakfast and the BBQ on saturday night.

CHECC would like to thank all the sponsors for supporting the event:

  • Hidden Earth provided the PA system for the marquee.

  • The Wessex Speleological Group provided an accommodation prize.

  • Cerberus provided an accommodation prize.

  • The Bradford Pothole Club provided an accommodation prize.

  • David Ryall gave a prize of 30metres of static rope.

  • Caving Supplies gave a tackle bag as a prize.

  • Bat Products gave some books as a prize.

  • Descent Magazine gave some books as a prize for the poster competition.

  • Bernies gave a bag of goodies as prizes.
