Connecting With Cave Research – Advice for Student Researchers

The British Cave Research Association and the Council of Higher Education Caving Clubs present an evening webinar aimed at students in higher education who would like to become more involved in cave research. Speakers from multiple fields, including climate modelling, microbiology and mixed-media visual arts will share their backgrounds in cave research and offer advice to anyone seeking to become involved. The programme will include:
 
  • Talks from students who are completing or have recently completed cave research projects at undergraduate, masters and doctoral level.
  • Information about how BCRA can help students access cave research opportunities.
  • Information about the British Cave Science Centre at Poole’s Cavern and opportunities for research involving new and archive data.
  • Funding opportunities for cave research from BCRA.
  • Information on upcoming events, including the BCRA Cave Science Symposium (online, 14th November 2020).
